100 "Stupid" Attempts
100 "Stupid" Attempts
As I’ve mentioned before, I have never been a naturally gifted person. When it
comes to learning, both in the past and present, I have made countless
"stupid" attempts. I can’t recall the exact number, but it is
conservatively over a hundred. If every foolish mistake were awarded a point, I
would have scored a perfect 100 in "Stupidity" by now.
Despite this, I have never regretted these
seemingly clumsy attempts. I believe that every mistake is an opportunity to
gain experience, teaching me how to adjust and change. The world is fair in
this regard: if I can trade 100 moments of foolishness for success on the 101st
try, then that trade is absolutely worth it. To me, that journey itself is a
massive success.
For the vast majority of people, success is
never handed to us on a silver platter. As long as we can take a lesson away
from each "stupid" mistake and eventually reach our goal, we have
actually come out ahead.
To all students, I hope you never hesitate
to take the first step just because you are afraid of "looking
stupid." The only true failure is not trying at all. Scoring 100 marks on
an exam is certainly something to be proud of, but in life—as long as you
aren’t hurting others or yourself—those "stupid attempts" are not
necessarily a bad thing. So what if you accumulate 100 foolish mistakes? As
long as the final attempt is the right one, the victory is yours.
